The
Catchin' for
Kids Sportfishing Show sold out our vendor booths in 2011.
Again in our 2012 Sportfishing Show,
there will be
over 50 indoor booths of fishing tackle, various sport fishing
equipment, and related merchandise and services. We have not only local
vendors, but some
out-of-area vendors from Maryland and North Carolina. There will also
be
boats, trailers and tow vehicles (trucks and SUVs) on display in the
outdoor area surrounding the Shrine Center. Chesapeake Angler
magazine will sponsor a variety of speakers presenting seminars on such
topics as fishing techniques, equipment selection, and bait and tackle
rigging.
The CCA (Coastal Conservation Association) used to run this type of
event, but until our 2011 Show, there hadn't been one in the Hampton
Roads area in at least
five years. There is a lot of excitement among local anglers to once
again be able
to see a wide spectrum of fishing tackle, related equipment and
services, as well as boats, in a single show. Additionally, the timing
of the show in late January is chosen to provide Hampton Roads anglers
with an
outlet for their pent-up motivation to "get going" getting ready for
the Spring
fishing season.
The vendor booths for the 2011 show were
sold out. If
you think you might be interested in participating in the 2012
Sportfishing
