Catchin for Kids

Sportfishing Show

Location and Directions

The 2010 Catchin' for Kids
Rockfish Tournament is history,
and it was another good one.
The fishing was sparse this year,
but the fellowship and the food were
excellent, the winning fish was a
good one, and the winner of the
first annual Dr. Harvey Rawls award
for Youth Angler Sportsmanship is
a terrific young man.

The address of the Khedive Shrine Center is 645 Woodlake Drive, which is in between Interstate 64 and Military Highway off Greenbrier Parkway.  The map here shows the location, and below it are the basic directions to get there. If you have a favorite on-line map program like MapQuest, GoogleMaps, etc., you can find the address on any one of them and get detailed driving directions from your home or business.

Local directions in the Greenbrier area:

From anywhere in the Hampton Roads area, the likely way to reach the Sportfishing Show is by either Interstate 64 or Military Highway. The Interstate is usually the preferred route if you're coming from a significant distance away. If you're local in the area, you may prefer Military Highway to avoid Interstate traffic, which is sometimes annoying in the rush hour.  And of course, if you're coming from South Chesapeake, you may be coming up Greenbrier Parkway from the South.

From Interstate 64 get off at Exit 289A onto Greenbrier Parkway northbound. After just one block, you will reach a traffic light at the intersection of Woodlake Drive, where you need to turn left. Thus, when you get onto Greenbrier Parkway, you will want to move quickly over to the left lane. If you're coming from Military Highway, you will turn right (southbound) at the intersection of Greenbrier Parkway. Simply stay in the right lane and turn right on Woodlake.  And if you're coming up Greenbrier Parkway from the south, stay left as you cross the Interstate, then turn left at the light at Woodlake.
